I have very exciting news today. This afternoon, I signed up with http://efolkmusic.org.
I won’t be listed there by name until after I send them (upload) a CD they can sell. I’m hoping to spend some time over the next few weeks recording some of these songs to put on a CD. After that, you should be able to find a ’studio quality’ recording of some of these songs.
http://efolkmusic.org is the public face of a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting folk music.
This is how they describe their mission:
Supporting Folk Music:
Many of our visitors have been supporting theater and dance in their own communities for years, especially if there is a dance troupe theater company in genuine need knocking on the door. We believe folk music and musicians need some of that same “public” support, and we appeal to you to help us keep this music in circulation.
efolkMusic provides a gathering place for fans around the world, almost 6,000 visitors every day, coming to listen to new music and learning about the diverse artists on our roster.
Please consider becoming a new member, renew or make the “gift of music” with a gift membership- you or the recipient gets a 100-song MP3/CD sampler loaded with “mighty fine” music plus 10% off all purchases for a year and much more!
Join today at the $30 level (we are a 501(3)(c) tax-exempt organization) and get your 100 song sampler and access to 1000+ “member” downloads, 10% discount on all purchases, and more…. efolkMusic Rated #1 Source for Folk Music MP3s!!!
We’re not making it up, just go to Google or Yahoo and search “folk music mp3″. It shouldn’t be a surprise, we’ve been offering free promotional and for sale mp3s since 1999, and we’ve got a lot of tunes to browse- get in “High Touch” with some of the mighty fine music right now.
