Today is Thanksgiving Day, a national holiday in the USA.

.

Visitors from other countries do not share this holiday. Even so, I’d like to invite every visitor to make today your own day for giving thanks for all that is good in your life.

.

It is very easy for all of us to see bad things happening all around, both personally and globally. Today, I invite you to join with me in noticing all that is good.

.

I also want to invite you to join with me in consciously choosing to live with gratitude while continuing to work to make our personal lives, our communities, our countries and our planet safer, healthier and more peaceful for us all.

.

I will be with some of my family for this holiday for the first time in years. This is one thing for which I am grateful.

Soon after that, Zoe Brain posted cartoons to illustrate the plight of transgendered individuals. A friend who writes screenplays sent me this link. She said,

“If the writers don’t get what they are asking…they are doomed! People will not be able to make a living when–in the near future–DVD’s are replaced by downloads from cable and the internet. They get NO residuals from this now!.”

She said this explains what’s at stake in this writers’ strike.
