Rainbows, Sunlight and Blue Water
.
I made this stained glass window in early 2007. It was my 2nd stained glass piece. My friend and teacher, David Hoot in Tulsa, Oklahoma, insisted that I needed to do a piece made with straight lines, angles and bevels. He provided the pattern and told me I could select the glass. I chose to use rainbow colors and waterglass.
.
I took this picture by a friend’s pool at the end of September 2008. I held this window over the edge of the pool. The white is the edge of the pool. The blue behind the window is the water in the pool. I still marvel at the beauty of colored glass between sunlight and water.

Here are four photos of this window. It’s so strange to me that with different lighting it looks like a totally different window. My favorites, of course, are the ones with the sunlight shining through the window. I don’t like it as much as a dark window.

So pretty! I came across your site using alphainventions. Thanks for sharing it with the world!
Thanks, Heather!
How very nice! I liked the varying background effects with the colors.
Thank you, Susan.
Impressive. Do you do stuff for sale? Anywhere to see samples and price ranges?
Thank you, Sharon.
I would like to sell some of my glass work. People have been asking to buy it. Several people have told me of something specific they’d like to buy.
For some reason, I’m still hesitating about putting prices on these pieces and putting them up for sale. I’m not sure why.
Hmmmm. Analyze this, someone, please!

Hi! I am looking for an abstract design for a window in my conservatory. I wondered whether you would be able to do it – and how much it would be? I really love your work!
