Deb’s House Concerts

This happened yesterday, but it’s news.
A competent professional pilot safely landed a plane, disabled by birds, with no deaths.
A lame duck President made excuses for bringing down our country with decisions that led to thousands of deaths.

I’m telling you now, so you can plan ahead. 😉

Wallet Pop Has The Story

Here’s a quote:

Krispy Kreme to offer free doughnuts on Inauguration Day

In a press release the company announced that it will be “honoring American’s sense of pride and freedom of choice on Inauguration Day, by offering a free doughnut of choice to every customer on this historic day, Jan. 20. By doing so, participating Krispy Kreme stores nationwide are making an oath to tasty goodies — just another reminder of how oh-so-sweet “free” can be.

I can’t imagine being boxed in, hidden and protected by armed guards. Losing the freedom to come and go at will is something that the very old, and the very sick, often have to endure. But, imagine being relatively young and healthy, yet not able to ever go out alone. This is the life of the President of the United States of America. This is the life Barack Obama is already living.

.

The Washington Post talked with friends of Obama and asked them how he’s changed. Here are a couple of links:

Much to His Chagrin, ‘Plain Old Barack Is Gone’

Obama nourished his soul on a life of routine in Chicago, friends say. Now they hope he can find comfort in a city he has never embraced.
